The literacy rate of Nepal is one of the lowest in the world. Even in the SAARC region, we do not have a better literacy status. The literacy status of women and girls are too poor.

A great challenge to the nation is to eliminate the massive poverty in the country and provide basic needs to the people. Keeping in view these challenges, efforts are under way to improve the quality of life of Nepalese people. But until and unless we improve the health, educational and social status of women, particularly of the adolescents and young girls we cannot bring changes in the quality of life of the people of Nepal So, VFDN initiates and support to student to student. initiatives by encouraging and supporting financially unable parents to send their girl child in formal schools and retain them for longer periods.
