What You Can Do
As a volunteer of Volunteers for Development Nepal, you will work side-by-side with local people to help achieve important community objectives and needs. The volunteer work is with carefully selected Partner Programs, all of which are dynamic, inspiring and encouraging community-led initiatives. These include orphanage and childcare centre, schools, health clinics and hospitals, outreach health camps and health awareness raising activities, homes for elderly, centres for people with disabilities, rehabilitation centres for HIV positives and drug users, water, sanitation and hygiene as well as other community development initiatives within and outside Kathmandu, the Capital City of Nepal.

Volunteers staying 3 to 12 and more weeks complete a phase of community initiatives that helps our staff to match you with a local Partner Program. This ensures that you are volunteering a project that interests you and that the local Partner Programs can also benefit from your work. However, if you are volunteering for less than three weeks, with your prior information about your interest, our staff will be able to find out such projects of your interest in the communities within the Kathmandu Valley.
